JUNIOR ACADEMY

As you would expect from a club that was founded on the principles of inclusion and participation, The Savannah Celtic 'Junior Academy' is open to all 6, 7 & 8 year olds.

Junior Academy players will train once a week with Nationally licensed coaches in addition to their U8 team's practice and game schedule. This offers committed soccer players an extra night of practice  and a chance to develop faster. Our focus is individual player development, with a coaching curriculum based on technical training. Our aim is to bring the full potential of all participants to fruition by learning soccer the Celtic way!

What's the cost? The cost is $80 per player. This will include all training fees for an 8 week program.

When and where? Practices will be held on Friday evenings (Fall 2008) at Guy Minick Field.

Tryouts? An end of season evaluation will be provided by Celtic Select Director of Coaching 'Brian Okumu'. There will be no formal tryout process. However, if a trainer/coach feels that a particular child is holding back their specific pool of players or if an individual is being disruptive, the club reserves the right to ask them to leave the program. They will however be permitted to return at any time if improvement can be shown and the trainer/coach approves. If requested a refund will be provided on a pro-rata basis.

You will be placed on a mailing list and informed when the first session takes place. Checks will be collected on opening night and should be made out to: 'Savannah Celtic F.C.'
